*****

I know I showed the organizer on the podcast, but since I think that it wasn't quite visible, I leave here some pictures of the finished object.

This isn't my ideia, this kind of shoe organizer has been here for decades. In fact, I had the ideia to make one because there was one just like this in my parent's house, made out of transparent oilcloth, back in the 80's.

I had initially thought of encapsulating a 1.25mm thick cardboard inside the fabrics, in it's entirety, but I ended up just cutting a 15 cm piece and put it at the top, just to reinforce it and give it some stability, especially by the two holes I made to pass the hanger cord. Then I made a seam really near it, so to enclose it inside the front and back fabrics.

The reason I changed my mind about this was that my husband suggested and I am glad he did, that I only put cardboard at the top, because some day, if I need to take it down I can easily fold it to be stored, until it is needed again.

The organizer is 55 cm wide and 120 cm high.
The pockets ended up with 23 cm wide and 16 cm high and were bent and folded with a hot iron to give it the acordion shape.
To shape this I followed the instructions I found in another project, that I found on one of my Martha Stewart's books.

And just like that, my kids shoes are better organized and tide up!
